My wife, Bonnie, and I had the distinct pleasure of accompanying Jan and James on their African photo safari in the fall of 2005. It was a wonderful experience that will live in our minds forever. Jan and James went to extraordinary lengths to ensure our comfort and satisfaction and saw that every detail was attended to.

The number and types of game we saw were far beyond our expectations as was our proximity to all the animals. We were able to take pictures that will allow us to relive our experience for years to come.

The time spent in the camps was equally enjoyable. The accommodations were very comfortable and the service was first class. All the details of the complex travel arrangements were handled with great attention to detail. If anyone has ever had the dream of an African experience, this is the best was to realize that dream.

How fabulous!
This trip was just the best trip we have ever taken bar none.
Jan and James had every detail taken care of from beginning to end. (did they order all those animals themselves? Ha Ha!)
Make sure you bring more than enough film or memory. If you think you need two memory cards take four or five. You will not believe the number of wonderful animals, people and just plane beauty of the country. It was well beyond our expectations.
The guides are first rate and extremely knowledgeable.
This is set up for a very intimate group of 12 to 14 people in three different cars. So you never have to fight to get a picture.
Will we go again? Absolutely! In a heart beat!
Oh, and don't think you will lose weight on this trip the food and service are first rate.

We met Jan and James about one year before we took our African adventure with them. We were extremely impressed with Jan’s knowledge of the country, the animals, the birds, and the habitats. The fact that Jan is an awesome wildlife artist and excellent photographer added to my interest in going on a trip lead by her personally. She knows the best camps to stay in and, more importantly, is intimately familiar with the guides and the best vehicles for such a safari.

Our entire trip could not have been more perfect with close-up observations of every animal in the Maasai Mara on our first game drive. Each day it got better and more incredible and 9700 photographs later, we have unbelievable memories that will last a lifetime. The camps and relevant staff were friendly, efficient and comfortable. The food was delicious, abundant and beautifully prepared.

Jan and James are wonderful traveling companions and really worked hard to be sure that everything was taken care of for us. You simply could not ask for a more exciting, unique experience.
