About the trip:
All inclusive from a designated U.S. departure city, 10 days in picture book Africa with hosts Jan Martin McGuire and James Hines. You will be visiting two of the most spectacular animal reserves on the whole continent of Africa. The Masai Mara Reserve hosts all the most sought after species of animals that the traveler could wish to see including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, rhino, giraffe, hippo, cape buffalo, zebra and all the antelope found in this part of East Africa. It's not that they are found there and maybe you'll see them after hours and hours of looking, but rather you WILL see them in huge numbers practically every minute of the trip!!! The wildebeest migration returning to the Serengeti will be in full swing and we may actually see them crossing the river in numbers totaling in the thousands!

Samburu is in the Northern part of Kenya. It has a totally different habitat from the Mara, and has a lot of unusual animal species that are only found in this area of Africa including Grevy's zebra, Gerenuk antelope, Reticulated Giraffe, Gunthers Dik Dik and many other fascinating wildlife.

Accommodations:
Jan and James have designed the perfect trip to make your experience memorable and complete. All the accommodations are first rate - you will be staying at a luxury tented camp in the Mara. While you are staying in tents, you can actually hear the African night around you. You will be sleeping in four poster beds with an attached bathroom with flushing toilet, shower with hot and cold running water! The camp has a first rate restaurant under thatched roofs and a completely stocked bar as well as a swimming pool.

You will be staying at a first class lodge called Samburu Lodge while you are in Samburu. It has a five star restaurant, bar and swimming pool.
