Saturday, June 05 DEPART USA Overnight flight from New York JFK airport to Athens, Greece on Lufthansa Airlines |

Day
2 - Sunday, June 06 ARRIVE ATHENS Arrive at Athens airport, where you will be met by Brendan Tours representatives and escorted to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the Divani Palace. Located next to the Plaka and the Acropolis. A unique hotel built above, well protected ancient ruins. It has a roof garden, with a panoramic view of the Acropolis, a swimming pool, a restaurant, a bar and a tavern. All rooms are air-conditioned with TV's and a mini bar. |

3 - Monday, June 07 ATHENS-ANAVYSOS After a full breakfast at your hotel you take off for a city sightseeing tour of Athens including orientation tour of the city. Visit of the Acropolis (Parthenon and its Museum) & Ancient Agora. You will have free time for lunch and then we will depart for our Transit viewing site of Anavyssos. Anavysos is a small beach town located 47 km from the Athens Center, and 30 km from Sounion. Our hotel, the Alexander Beach Resort is equipped with bathroom, music, telephone and balcony with sea view rooms. This evening we will have a group dinner and meeting afterwards to review the up-coming TRANSIT OF VENUS. |

4 - Tuesday, June 08 VIEW TRANSIT OF VENUS Again a full breakfast is included to get you ready to view this unique and rare astronomical event. We will have an area picked out to set up your equipment or just watch from the pool or your room. A late lunch is planned at the hotel around 2:00pm. We will depart the hotel at 4:45pm to Cape Sounion, the southernmost point of the European mainland and features the spectacular Greek temple of Poseidon. The late afternoon light is wonderful for photography. Return to Anavyssos and your hotel for a late evening meal. |

5 - Wednesday, June 09 ANAVYSSOS - ATHENS This morning we will depart Anavyssos after breakfast for Athens. On the way back we will be visiting the Archaeological Museum and ending at our hotel for check-in and lunch on own around 11:30am. The afternoon will be at leisure. Our group will depart the hotel around 7:00pm for a small tour of Pireus followed by dinner at a restaurant in Mikrolimano. Return back to your hotel in Athens. |

6 - Thursday, June 10 CORINTH-MYCENAE-EPIDAURUS TOUR After breakfast depart Athens and begin tracing the route of the ancient Olympic games (The 2004 Olympics will be held in Athens in August) to the Corinth Canal, linking the Aegean and lonian seas; Old Corinth to visit the ruined Temple of Apollo; Isthmia, one of the sites of the Panhellenic Games; Mycenae with its famous Lion Gate and beehive tombs of King Agamemnon; Nemea, a sanctuary and venue for ancient games, held in honor of Zeus whose temple remains; Epidaurus, whose 4th century B.C. theater is one of the best preserved classical monuments in Greece. Return back to our hotel in Athens. Dinner will be on your own. |

8 - Saturday, June 12 RHODES Reach the intriguing isle of Rhodes in the morning. Known as the island of Roses. Visit the streets of the knights, the Medieval Quarter, the Palace of the Grand Masters. Perhaps you would like to purchase the optional excursion to the bay of Lindos with its famed Acropolis from where one can see beyond the Aegean to Turkey. Rhodes is famed for its historic Old Town, great shopping and the ancient site of the Colossus of Rhodes. |

9 - Sunday, June 13 PATMOS/KUSADASI Morning arrival at Patmos, site of the Monastery of St. John the Divine, who received the Revelation here that forms the Last Book of the New Testament. Continue to the colorful Turkish port of Kusadasi, with its great shopping bargains. |

10 - Monday, June 14 PIRAEUS/ATHENS/USA Morning arrival into the port of Piraeus. Disembark after breakfast and transfer to the airport for your return flight to the USA. |
